5 Seconds Of Summer | Newcastle 2015

Throw back to the 2nd of June, when I saw 5 seconds of Summer with my good friends Emily Wilkinson and Hannah-Mae Graham. The rest of squad was in the arena too just not in pod 1 with us, so unfortunately we didn't get to assemble this time.
Oh yeh did I mention I was about 2 meters away from Luke Hemmings. Well yeah that was a thing that happened in my life.

Since I was in pod I decided to go up early and queue for standing as I knew sound check were going to be going in early so I wanted to be as close as possible as standing at the back was not something I was willing to do.
I arrived in town at about 11 o'clock to meet Emily Hutchinson, who being a dedicated Calum girl had been in town since 7am walking around and drinking Starbucks whilst abusing Eldon Square Wi-fi. We then met Amy 'Neill and a couple of their friends and headed to the arena.

Upon arrival we were informed that Pod 1, Pod 2 and sound check all had different queues so myself and Amy were going to be alone. But being me I wasn't going to let myself sit alone for 5 hours wasting my phone battery, so I walked into my queue huge smile planted upon my face, approached the 5 girls sitting there saying "Hello I'm Jess and I'm going to be sitting with you's for like 5 hours" a friendship was born.

At about 3pm after waiting since 12, Emily had already gone in for sound check, Hannah-Mae arrived to me in the queue. This was to be the first time I was actually going to spend time with her after being internet best friends since August 2014 so I was so excited to see her!

I want to take a moment to truly appreciate Hannah-Mae Graham, she is an under appreciated soul. What I mean by that her beautiful, kind soul is unappreciated by people. They might walk past her in the street, go to school with her, see her in the supermarket and never truly appreciate her which saddens me. She is a person everyone needs in their life and I am truly honoured to have her in my life. I know I've talked about her on here before, but after spending time with her it made me realise how amazing she actually is and how thankful I am to have her.
I know she's reading this so hello my little goose, I miss you, come see me soon.

Whilst waiting in the queue about 6 of us played Jenga and Cranium that someone had brought from McDonald's which was a great time. Turns out Piano is hard to spell backwards.

During this time Hey Violet played a 4 minute acoustic set and Emily Wilkinson arrived with stupid plaits in her hair. As if I was going to miss this iconic moment out, Emily I'm not even sorry.

After waiting, playing games, talking and taking selfies we were moved into a new queue closer to the door and the excitement kicked in.

Whilst in the queue the beautiful Eve and Maddi came to see us, specifically me, as we hadn't seen each other since The Vamps!
Dear Maddi and Eve, come and see me soon. K thanks bye.

After a 6 hour wait we were finally going in and holy hell we were excited.
Shout out to Daniel Styles who got us really close to Michel Clifford. Finally after lots of waiting, anxiety issues (that nearly led me to leave pod) and sitting on the floor, Hey Violet came on stage. I'm going to be real I wasn't expecting much after what I heard of their acoustic set but all in all they were quite good.

Finally, after a long day of waiting the 4 Australian idiots we had all been waiting for stepped onto the stage ready to rock out with the socks their socks out in Newcastle's very own Metro Radio arena.
The night needs no more explanation than A M A Z I N G.  Not that I expected any less.
I saw these boys last year at One Direction but since then my love has only grown.

Apart from being so close to Luke Hemmings and spending time with Hannah, my favourite part of the show was when they sang Beside you, because the first time I met Emily W and actually how we became friends was through this song. As I sang to Emily H "so close but so far away" and Emily W sang the next line.
There's too many Emily's in my life that was confusing.
Since then our friendship has grown and back in February we would have never had expected to share this moment together. So yes I did cry, come on it's me what do you expect? As if I wasn't going to cry.

It was honestly, a truly unforgettable night from start to finish. The boys were amazing, the crowd was amazing, spending time with Hannah and Emily was amazing. I really loved it it was well...amazing.
Next week I have The Vamps, Taylor Swift and Prom so expect lots and lots of blog posts to come!
As always I shall leave you with lots of concert photos!

I love my friends xoxox

 The final bow.
