Summer Day on the Job | Photography

Apparently England is now Spain, don't believe me? Check the weather.

It has been so unbelievably hot the past few weeks that going to work seems like the most unappealing and disgusting thing in the whole world. But, it has to be done.

I am here to help you males out there dress for the heat but still look stylish and professional and don't worry ladies I've got you covered too.

Starting off, it's easier to be cool and comfortable when wearing clothes that you love and feel confident in, it sounds cheesy but the warm weather often makes us feel icky and gross at work so wearing something you know you like and feel nice in makes this experience so much better. I know I feel a lot better in the sticky weather if im wearing my favourite top.

An easy way to keep cool at work is a polo top, they're both stylish and light. This white top Damon is wearing is both stylish and keeps him cool at a long day at work. On a particularly hot day he pairs this with his grey work pants, rather than skinny jeans as they arent tight and allow some air to circulate keeping him cool all day.

Another option is a simple cotton blue shirt styled with a grey blazer. This look is perfect for the office as the blazer can be removed if it gets to boiling point and the shirt still looks smart and is cool enough to wear on its own.

In terms of shoes these slip on's are perfect for the summer as they're light on the feet but still comfortable and supportive. This specific pair are from Primark so they're available at a reasonable price and are perfect for around the office.

Another way men and young professionals  can stay cool and comfortable in the summer is with a comfy pair of men's underwear they are stylish as well as super comfy! Highly recommend you check them out.

Ladies, are known to have more summer options as the shops are filled with crop tops and light jackets.
A very simple way to keep cool at work in the summer is to wear a thin plain top underneath a stylish shirt. This allows you to stay cool but also still look professional.
Paired with either some black pants or some black skinny jeans makes this look perfect for a casual office look in the hot weather.

This grey and white shirt is perfect for the hotter weather as the light colours bounce off the sun
which refrains you from getting too hot. Very technical but true.
Paired with a simple black off the shoulder bag pulls the whole look together.

I hope you enjoyed this post,
Special thanks to Tommy John for inspiring this post.

Spirit Of Summer | Photography

I did that thing where I brought my camera out on a whim and had an impromptu photo shoot around Newcastle with Laura.

Elderflower | Photography

I have been home for 2 days already, so naturally I have already done a photo shoot with El. What else would I do?
It was so nice to be using my own camera, with settings and lenses i'm used to.
We went to a couple of locations and I wore my ugly wellies, was wild.

Once again I am so thankful for Ellie, she is a great human who lets me take photos of her and practice what I love. Photography for me is a real passion and a lot of people have asked me;
"Why don't you study photography?"  the simple answer is; I don't want to.

One of the reasons I love what I do is because I feel so free, yes I know about all the technical aspects but the part I love the most is, this is something I taught myself.

That is something I will always be proud of.
