Two Faced

As many of you's will know, I am a massive make up addict, I love all things make up and nothing excites me more than trying new brands and products. So once I got to Manchester it quickly became my mission to find some new make up, specifically a new highlighter!
I knew I wanted to check out the two faced counter in Debenham's before I even left for the trip.

Once there I was blown away by all the pretty products that I wanted to spend my entire student loan on, then I quickly realised that probably wasn't the best idea. I did pick up a couple of things that are so pretty I sometimes cry.

If you're interested in make up and don't think pricer make up is worth it, you're so wrong it feels great putting £24 highlighter on.

The first thing I picked up was this Melted Chocolate "liquefied lipstick" in the colour NUDE I can't stress how beautiful this is. The formulation is so smooth, plus the colour is beautiful. In regards to staying power, it's decent.

The other two things I got are highlighters (technically one is a blush but I use it as a highlighter. LET ME LIVE) because I have a weird obsession. Both of these highlighters are so pretty I just want to cover my whole face in them.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

2 Year Blogiversary

HOW HAS IT BEEN TWO YEARS?!
I remember being sat in my dining room in Whitley Bay and thinking to myself "maybe I should finally start that thing on the internet I've wanted to do for ages" and after consulting numerous group chats I decided to set "lifeofjessd.blogspot" up and it was actually tragic.

In this short time I have developed so much, from my writing style to my photography and it's really helped grow my confidence and be able to fulfil my passion for writing and photography.
I now have a YouTube channel and get people everyday saying how much they love my content. It's so bizarre. I never expected it to grow so much, but I am so beyond thrilled!

I'm now sat on over 33.7k blog views and that is insane to me! I just want to thank anyone who has joined this ride, from day one or right now, It means a hella lot!
I'll leave you with some visual progress, enjoy :)
I can't wait for year 3!

Wake Up Tour | The Vamps

Hello friends, long time no speak. I am currently sat on a train looking out the window pretending to be in a music video and thinking about the past couple of weeks and the amazing experiences that I've had. Do you ever stop and take a step back and realise how blessed you are and how thankful you are for the places you've visited, people you've met and laughs you've had. I really hope you do because im having one of them im so blessed what did I do to deserve this life kinda moments.

The other day I was reading my blog post about 2014 and I talked about how I had seen The Vamps 4 times but never met them and it made me feel so bizarre and emotional, which links into what I'm going to talk about today because my life has taken such an amazing turn and boy am I #blessed.

If you're my friend or you've been following me for a while now you will know how much I love The Vamps, in fact I don't even know if love quite covers it. I adore the vamps. I have so much respect for them, they have came so far and always give 110% but I'm not here to suck up to them, I'm here to talk about my time seeing them over the past couple of weeks.

I was lucky enough to attend two tour dates on their recent UK tour, both with m&g. I of course saw them in Newcastle, I mean I couldn't not. Newcastle has a special place in my heart, it's where I first saw the boys on their first headline tour and it's where I made a lot of my Vamps friends. So to go back and get to see the boys sell out the Metro Arena for the second year in a row was actually crazy. I spent the day hanging out with my friends and hugging people I haven't seen in so long due to being in Leeds and everyone's busy schedules so it was nice to catch everyone all in one place and just have a nice happy day.

Manchester was the other place I ventured to, to see the boys I hopped on a train and headed to see my Amy's. Manchester was amazing and I loved every second. It was crazy seeing the boy's end tour, there was so much emotion, yet so many laughs as the boys family and management continued to prank them on stage by running up the runway in police hats and the mums and sisters scaring the crap out of Molly and I as for a second we were convinced it was actually Demi Lovato.

I have had such a good couple of weeks and I am truly thankful for everything, I am now filled with joy and happiness.

Silhouette | Photography

Light and exposure are something that I am not great at. Every time I take a photo I try and improve my skills, and try and work with it rather than against it. If Hannah is reading this she will know just how frustrated I get with it and how many times I've begged for her help. One day I will get there!

I decided to work on a different kind of photography than what I normally do as this year I am trying to broaden what I do. I was focusing on lighting, for example; silhouettes, which feature the contrast between light and dark.

Whilst in Manchester I took it as the perfect opportunity to stick Amy in front of the window and try some silhouette photography. They aren't amazing but hopefully with time they will get better.
