L'Oreal Paris Infallible | Review

Today I wanted to talk to you about the L'Oreal Paris Infallible range (but not the contour kits because I don't have them)

I bought these products quite a while ago so I have had plenty of time to test them out and give a full review.

I want to start off with the Mattifying Primer because it's my favourite product in the range. In fact I love it so much this is my 3rd. It has that silicone consistency that some people hate but personally I really like that although my fingers always feel rank after using it.

Next up is the foundation, I'm going to be brutally honest...I am not a fan. I don't know if its the consistency, the fact I got the wrong colour or that its in a tube. I don't quite know what it is but im not 100% convinced. The coverage I'd say is medium to build-able which is the redeeming factor of this product. I wouldn't choose to use it over any of my others.
Was that too savage?

It's a little dirty from being at the bottom of my make up box lol
The final product is something I have fallen in love with and I'm not even 100% sure it works. The
fixing mist is my favourite part of doing my make up at the moment because it makes me feel so awake. I have wanted the Urban Decay setting spray for sooo long but I have never got round to purchasing so when this was in the boots deal (3 for 2) I couldn't possibly not try it. I really like this because it doesn't feel like im spraying water on my face.

I am not 100% sure if this works wonders for setting my make up but it certainly makes me think im trying.

Preston Pleasure Beach

You know that one person who you can always trust, turn to and smile with? That one person who can brighten your day no matter what your mood? Well... Lucky for me I have numerous people in my life who treat me like a princess and make my heart truly happy and today's post is about a trip I took to see one of these wonderful humans. Maybe wonderful isn't the word, how about glorious? Magical? Incredible? Ok sorry I'll stop sucking up now.
The past couple of days have been filled with laughs, tears, rides, alcohol, lots of Ghost Adventures episodes, basically practically anything you can think of was there. I mean not anything, within reason. Ok I'm rambling.
Basically, in short; I took a trip to Preston to see Life Through a lens, do subscribe.
You might be thinking "Jess really? That long intro for a trip to Preston." Yes, I like to be dramatic ok, surely you worked that out already.
September 19th - I made my way down to Preston on probably the longest most boring train I've ever been on in my life. Can you believe it stops to let other people on? - name that reference- 😉
When I finally arrived I was greeted with wine and fake lashes, we were going out and boy was it eventful. I can't include every detail but basically we drank too much and things went wrong. If you require more information email me.

September 20th - Hungover. That is all. Oh we also baked disgusting cookies. Thanks Becca.
September 21st - If you know Amy and I you might know we have a history of just doing spontaneous shit because we can. Well when hungover we decided in order to make ourselves feel better we needed to do something exciting. It sounded like a good idea at the time and well... It was. We went to Blackpool Pleasure Beach and had a blast! The park was practically empty which meant absolutely no queues in sight, no annoying kids cause they have education or something dumb I don't have to do anymore and it meant we could do the rides as many times as we wanted. The whole day was amazing and so much fun apart from one fearful time in my life that I never want to relive, you might know that I have a lot of fears. I'd say more than most. Well my ultimate biggest fear is scary things jumping out at me. Amy thought it was a good Id- ok it was my idea. The guy was hot, what was I suppose to do?! We went on a ghost train. Never again, never in a million years I HATED IT. In fact I hated it so much that all I could do was cover my eyes and repeatedly say "I hate it, I hate it, I hate it".

September 22nd - It was time for me to head off, go home, get away. I was heading back to Leeds basically. So naturally with the realisation that 2nd year was now upon us we decided to lie on the sofa all day and alternation been Big Bang Theory and naps. Gotta make the most out of summer after all.
We managed to drag ourselves away from blankets and cups of tea for 20 mins to go and do some photography (post soon) but other than that we slept.

All of that leads me to right now, 5:57pm, sat on a train back to hell I mean Leeds. Sorry I often mistake the two of those (I'm joking...I think) In all seriousness I have had a wonderful couple of days with Amy, getting to know her housemates and going on rides, even if the Dora ride was closed.
Love you all, speak soon x

One Year In Leeds

A year ago today I packed my life into the back of my mums then purple Fiat 500 and took the trip to Leeds. I remember sitting in the car completely zoned out just staring out the window and my wonderful mother put her hand on my leg and said "you excited?". All I could think was "if i'm honest Lynn I am absolutely terrified and im worried I am going to cry at any second" but all that seemed to escape me was a smile.

I can remember the first time I met everyone, I was told Melanie was Kasi and that I was getting the weird corner cupboard.

Thinking back it seems like forever ago, it seems like I've known this people forever. 365 Days truly feels like 5 years, it's strange but I kind of love it.

Now a year on I'm sat in my uni house who I share with 3 great humans and the past couple of days I've been at Mel's house playing Super Mario.

Things I have achieved in first year:

Got a 2:1
Started a YouTube Channel
Did 6 weeks of placement at a Media Company
Got a job
Signed for a house when we weren't meant to
Failed an Essay
Watched the Euros at a pub
Booked a trip to Disney
Sheep
Got an App
Did a 6am shoot
Got over my fear of clubs
Watched all of H2o
Turned 19
Went to DocFest
Took a trip to Harrogate

So much has happened in my first year, I learned a lot about myself, about the media industry and about my ability to live away from home.
Speaking of home, over this year I have felt quite homesick which is natural but it's getting easier and easier.

I want to thank my new friends and my old friends for believing in me and supporting me through my first year. Here's to 2 more *clinks glasses*

In regards to my blog during this year I feel like It has really grown, not just in regards to readers but also my writing ability. I feel like I have really grown into my writing style. I am very happy with how my blog has progressed over the year.

I can't wait to see where second year takes me.

Girls Night Out | Airtime App

Ever been in that situation where you just want to FaceTime 5 friends at once? If you answered yes then worry no longer I've got you covered. Sound too good to be true? Well.. spoiler alert, it's not.

I have teamed up with Airtime to show you their new app that lets you do just that and more!

You might be asking; what is the Airtime app? Well, basically it's an app that allows you to hold group chats, as well as share music and videos. It's perfect for getting ready for a night out as all your pals can be jamming to the same song which means group HSM singalongs to get the party started.
I feel like this is perfect because sometimes only getting one friends opinion on your outfit just isn't enough.

Airtime is perfect for me as a lot of my friends live in different cities so we can all get together and party without having to be together. My favourite thing at the moment is randomly sharing a funny video in the chat to confuse everyone.

By far my favourite part about this app is you can connect it to your Spotify and have a party playlist going that everyone can listen to and we can all sing terribly together.

I have put together my favourite pre-drinks playlist, these are the songs my friends and I stop everything to sing at the top of our lungs to. Resulting in wonky lashes, badly drawn liner and being 2 hours late.

The songs that are 100% are on my girls night playlist are:

Black Magic - Little Mix

Dancing In The Moonlight - Toploader

Ignition - R. Kelly

Can't Stop The Feeling - Justin Timberlake

One Less Lonely Girl - Justin Bieber

Work This Out - High School Musical 2

Freak Like Me - Todrick Hall ft Dance Moms

We're going to Ibiza - Vengaboys

Love On Top - Beyoncé

Of course these arent the only songs I listen to whilst getting ready, I need the perfect song to dance to before I head out the door. I have made a Spotify playlist of the top songs I listen to without fail every time I go out, from new hits to golden oldies. I mean.. is it really a girls night if you don't start if off with a Cheetah Girls dance routine?

Having a dance party isn't the main part of getting ready for a night out, Airtime also allows you to chat and send pictures so you can star in your own Next Top Model catwalk, whilst your friends judge you. This is a life saver as you don't need to keep swapping between apps!

Overall, I think Airtime is a really cool and useful app, not just for a night out but for banterous group chats and sending funny videos to each other. I love it because it means I can force my friends from across the country to listen to my favourite songs.

Let me know what songs are on your Girls Night Out  playlist, and most importantly what you think of the app!
Oh and did I mention its free? What more could you want!
