Photography | 2016

One of my main goals for 2016 was to improve my photography skills, although my initial plan was to try and focus on landscape photography after a couple attempts I decided it wasn't my favourite thing to do but, it will always be part of my photography plan.

Just like last year -link- I am going to breakdown my shoots and show you guys my favourite shots from each.

This year I wasn't able to do as many shoots as I would have liked due to uni commitments and the pure lack of time. That being said my goal for 2017 is to make more time for photography and go out shooting whenever I can.

I find photography a great way to relax and I love experimenting and editing new shots in brand new ways and improve my skills.

This year I got my 50mm Lens which was such a good investment I love having an all manual lens and although I always shoot in manual settings anyway there's something about an all manual lens that has such a nice effect.

I also had my first booked shoot this year and although it was very stressful and it didn't go as well as I had hoped I was still so happy to have been booked,

I hope to purchase a new lens in 2017 right now I would love a wide lens. I have my eye on a
16-35mm but they are like £1,000 so the likely hood of that happening is so slim.

without further ado here's my 2016 photography.

Be the Light | Photography

As part of the shoot I did with Ellie -link- we decided to try and catch the sunset so we could try some cool shots in Ellie's room.

I can't tell you how perfect this shoot went, I have wanted to do some shots with light like this for so long and I couldn't be happier with the result.

I am so happy with how the photos turned out, I feel like Ellie and I just get better and better every shoot.

Pamper Night | Blogmas Day 24

IT'S CHRISTMAS EVE!!!

It's finally here, Christmas is tomorrow and I am currently lying in bed trying to get the last of my blog work done before the last week of 2016.

I love Christmas eve so much because you get to lie in bed all day with cheese balls watching Christmas films. What I particularly like about the 24th day of  December is the evening, every year I have a pamper night and just chill and take some time for myself and get ready for the big day.

This year I didn't have a lot of time due to leaving everything to last minute and I had a lovely evening with Ellie, so I didn't manage to fake tan or do my nails or anything.

I started off by taking off all my make up. I have a love hate relationship with taking off my make up, on one hand I want my skin to breathe but at the same time it breaks my heart because it look me 20 minutes to get that crease blend perfect.
I used one of my favourite products to remove my make up - Garnier Micellar Water. You just slosh (weird word but sure) some onto a cotton pad and run it over your face and it removes practically all your make up.
Before I cry lets move on.

After I washed my face I decided to try a new face mask, I have tried some of these face masks before they're about £1 and can be found pretty much everywhere. I tried the Charcoal Masque and I can honestly say it was amazing. You leave in on for 20-25 minutes and at one point I couldn't feel my face but it is so worth it. My skin was so soft and still is this morning.
I'm going to use the rest tonight because I truly loved it.

There's nothing nicer than a bath, especially on the day of relaxation. For as long as I can remember I have had a bath on Christmas Eve so this year won't be any difference. There's nothing nicer than a bath with my mums exciting products that I stole from the cupboard.
Whilst in the bath I love reading and this Christmas book is so perfect, it's a little scary at times but that's cause im a wimp.

Finally, it's time to snuggle up with a hot chocolate and watch a Christmas film, I think I am going to watch The Polar Express and snuggle in front of the tree.

I want to wish you all the merriest of Christmases and if you don't celebrate I hope you have a lovely couple of days. I want you to know that I love you all so much and I can't thank you enough for the support you have given me during blogmas. I hit 50k which is absolutely unheard of and I can't thank each and everyone of you!

I love you,

Merry Christmas x

Christmassy Garden Centre | Blogmas Day 23

Yesterday my mother and I took an adventure to a garden centre because believe it or not they're one of my favourite places to go. We went to one that was about 30 minutes away from our house and on the route we were blasting Christmas tunes in the car, it really made me feel super festive.

We walked around and saw all the christmas lights and decorations and just had a cute festive time.

I can't believe it's christmas eve eve already, it feels like forever ago I started blogmas! I might have missed a few but I have really enjoyed it a lot!

Here's some photos of the festive garden centre!

See you tomorrow for the last day of blogmas!

Christmas Covers | Blogmas Day 22

Do you ever get bored of hearing the same Christmas songs sang by the same people year after year? I know I do so I went on the hunt for Christmas covers to spice up the holiday jams.

The first thing I found was a cover I used to listen to years ago and is the reason I love the song so much. It's a much slower version of the original which I really like, feels more chill. It's such a nice cover to listen to when you're doing homework and such.

I couldn't possibly do a post about music and not include these 4 boys now could I? I love this cover cause 1) Brad and 2) it's just funny. This is perfect for a Christmas party with your friends because it's something a little different but they'll still be able to sing along

It's no secret that I'm in love with Perrie Edwards so there's no surprise there's a cover by the best girl group going. This cover is so great because not only do they sound amazing but they have fun with it and make it fun and festive.

It's safe to say that Justin Bieber's Christmas album is one of my all time favourites so when I saw one of my favourite YouTube channels covering one of his songs I was ecstatic. I love this cover for a similar reason as Little Mix's one, it's fun and enjoyable to watch.

Finally, I want to talk about my friend Steph Howlett, she is an aspiring singer and she is an extremely talented bean. She has done a mini cover of All I want for Christmas and it is so nice to listen to.
It would mean a lot to her if you took your time to check her out (music wise obv) I really like her voice and this cover is a little jazzy yet extremely chill which I really like.
She also has a few covers on her twitter and YouTube (linked) so make sure you check them out.

Blogmas is nearly over, bet you're happy.

Throw Kindness Around Like Confetii | Photography

I have been pestering Ellie for months about doing a glitter photo shoot. It has been on my list for so long and I thought it would be good fun.
My favourite thing about shoots with Ellie is she loves being in front of the camera and I love being behind it so together we work really well and it's a really fun experience.

Whilst I was still in Leeds I picked up loads of glitter and confetti from Hobby craft for super cheap ready for the shoot.
It turned out amazing #blessed.

Look out for another photography post coming very soon!
