Beach Vibes | Photography

Last time (a long time ago) I was in Newcastle I wasn't very well so to cheer myself up El and I went out for coffee and home-ware shopping... a tradition I hope never ends. We didn't really have any other plans so we decided to go on a little photoshoot. Unfortunately I hadn't planned on shooting whilst at home so I didn't bring my Canon but to my luck El had recently purchased a brand new blogging camera (Olympus Pen) which we decided to test out at the beach.

Once we arrived at the beach we were welcomed with calm seas and a cold breezy air, overcast sky and the peaceful sound of silence. It is moments like this where I really miss the sea and being at home.

I wasn't 100% sure where I wanted to shoot as there was so many locations within the one location. I decided to get Ellie to crouch in a wheat-like bush as it matched her brown sweater and minimal make up look.

I think it's just as important and beautiful to complement your model with their surroundings as well as contrast them. Who doesn't love a yellow dress infront of a white wall really?

I truly love every shoot I do with this girl she has been my number one since day one but what I loved the most about this shoot is I proved to myself that after 5 years I don't need fancy equipment, I can do it on my own.
