Take Me Home | Youtube

Hey guys, hope you're well.
Last weekend I went back to Newcastle for a bit to see my family and friends and I decided to document it in a cute little montage (I'm not ready for the whole walking round the streets talking to a camera thing yet) I'll leave a link to my video at the end of this post.

I wanted to write about how nice and refreshing it is to go home for a couple of days. Uni often gets too much for me so to be back in familiar territory is always something I enjoy.Plus I went on a mate date with Laura which I thoroughly enjoyed.

During my time at home I ate nice food, laughed, smiled and just felt happy oh and got a little bit too drunk but I mean its fine.

I have fallen in love with my Sony Alpha camera its so perfect for on the go video and taking the occasional snap, plus the screen flips up so is perfecto for high quality selfies.

Naked Flushed | Urban Decay

Urban Decay are known for their incredible products and this Naked Flushed palette is no exception.
It's so beautiful I couldn't help but write about it. This palette would be amazing for contour and overall giving your face a bit for life.

Bronzer: The one in the palette is slightly shimmery, I would prefer it to be more matte just because that's the overall look I prefer. That being said it is a very pigmented light shimmer which would give an overall glow to the skin. If you're using a bronzer for contour (which I tend to do) a matte powder creates a much nicer natural shadow and is a lot easier to blend than a shimmer.

Highlight: This palette is has a flawless highlight shade, a perfect glittery white that sits effortlessly on top of your cheek bone. The colour reminds me a lot Nars - Shimmer Edie just slightly glittery, which catches the light beautifully.

Blush: A perfect rosy pink, perfect for spring and summer as it's not too bright that you look like you've just been out in the cold but not too dark that you resemble a clown, just a perfect in between as if  you're rosy from the spring weather.

It really is a beautiful palette which is currently £23 on feel unique but if you're a student and sign up for Unidays you can get 20% off making it about £20. Thats something you cant refuse!

Special thanks to Maddy for letting be borrow her new palette for this post.

Valentines Day Eye Look | Youtube

+

Hey guys,
So I feel like this post is waaaay over due, being a film student and loving blogging and beauty YouTube was always a natural step for me, it was just a big step and well I have short legs and a lot of nerves.
Never the less, I am writing to tell you that I made the leap and fell into the deep end. My First video is live RIGHT NOW! I was going to do it as a blog post on this eye look but it soon became very difficult.

Don't worry I am still going to be posting on my blog I haven't left my love for photography and writing, I've just gone down a different path for now. It would mean everything to me if you could continue your amazing support and follow me over to YouTube and subscribe to my channel.

Love you always,
Jess x

Nude Lipsticks

If anyone knows me at all they'd know there's two beauty things I own too much of; pink nail polish and nude lipsticks. Don't judge me, I know you all have a box filled to the brim of nail polishes and the majority of them will be in the same colour just a slightly different shades, that colour for me is pink.

Anyway, I wanted to show you some different price range brands and a couple of shades they have to offer. So no matter what your price range you can find the nude that's right for you. Unless you're super high end and want Tom Ford or Chanel cause I can't afford that, so go you!

Low
I wanted to start off with the cheapest lipsticks featured which are these Rimmel Kate Moss lipsticks. The Kate Moss range is my favourite drug store lipstick range. As they have amazing staying power and the shades are really nice. What I love about the Kate Moss lipstick range is they're super affordable but also they offer loads of different shades and don't dry out your lips. They're by far my favourite cheaper drug store nudes.
These lipsticks retail at £5.49

My favourite lipstick from the Kate Moss collection is undoubtedly 03, I am in desperate need of a new one because I wear it so often. It's such a perfect shade and it feels quite moisturising on the lips. For £5.49 I highly recommend giving them a try, you never know you could fall in love. What have you got to lose?

Medium
These L'oreal Collection Exclusive lipsticks are beautiful. I had seen a lot of people raving about these lipsticks so I decided to pick up a couple and try them out myself. I have not been disappointed. These lipsticks are flawless and so worth the price, I would even go as far as to say they are cheap for the quality they are. They're so pigmented so their staying power is insane, yet they aren't drying as they arent fully matte they feel silky and rather moisturising.
Retailing at £6.99 they  arent massively more expensive than the Rimmel ones but they are a much better quality.

Delicate Rose is such a flawless pinky nude. This is my favourite colour from the collection, it's the most pink lipstick I own, yet it still has a nude undertone so it's my low key way of branching out to the pinks. I also love how silky this product is, it just glides onto the lips.

High
I am a big fan of Mac lipsticks, I am only starting out my collection so I only have 3 and naturally they're all nudes. I love and wear them all. Not at once. I love a matte lipstick so these lipsticks are perfect and all 3 are perfect for someone who is just testing the water with Mac. The staying power is honestly incredible I was blown away. Although these are the priciest products of this post they're by far my favourite.
These retail at £15.50

My favourite Mac lipstick that I own is Velvet Teddy, it's such an easy nude, it doesn't need a lip liner and matches my skin really well. Plus its a matte nude which I really love. I know a lot of people rave about Velvet Teddy and honestly I understand why. If you're looking to venture into Mac lipsticks I highly recommend Velvet Teddy as a starter product. Do I wanna say Velvet Teddy any more times?
