Stupidly Unorganised

Is everyone else stupidly unorganised when they need to be organised the most? Please don't tell me that's just me.
In order to try and reduce my stress I invested my mothers money in an Address book, Mid year diary and a cute notebook. I thought I would share them with you, regardless of whether you care or not, because im obsessed with them and I care a lot. They're so cute and practical and not a waste of money at all.

Alnwick Castle

Fellow historians, muggles, and servants I am here to tell you a story about the famous Alnwick Castle where history was made through the Percy family, Harry potter magic was created and Downton Abbey well that was filmed there.
Myself and my dad took a spontaneous trip to the castle today after I told him I had only ever been to the Gardens. We went on a kind of celebratory you're going to university treat and honestly I loved it.

The day started off with food. I was absloutly starving since I had gotten up late so didn't leave my self enough time for breakfast which was clearly a rookie mistake. We couldn't find a parking space anywhere for about an hour but eventually we pulled into a little side street for a unreal pub carvery.

Being keen historians as soon as we got to the castle we went on a "castle tour" and learnt all the history of the building and the family who lives there in the winter and somewhere else on their vast estate in the Summer. Nice for some.
The Castle itself was build in the 11th Century, 919 years ago and is still so beautiful today.
The old guy who gave us the tour was nothing short of fantastic. Give that man a raise.

Being a massive Harry Potter fan I was very overwhelmed when I saw locations such as the place where they learnt how to ride brooms and Neville's Remembrall was stolen, was a magical time. Did you see what I did there? All around the castle there was little parts of me that continued to get overwhelmed knowing that Emma Watson had once stood here. Fun Fact: I used to be obsessed with that beautiful woman.

I didn't realise how many activities Alnwick Castle had to offer I just assumed it was the castle and that was it, boy was I wrong. There is so many activities such as; tours of filming locations, broomstick training, ghost stories in the dungeons, jesters and loads more and I was just so excited and over whelmed my dad must have thought I was crazy!

To my disappointment Broomstick training was fully booked so I couldn't do it, one day I will go back and learn how to ride a broomstick correctly and win the Quidditch World Cup. Mark my words.

I had such a good time, it was the best results day treat ever! I recommend you give it a try whether you like history or not because it was so fun and I wish we could have stayed for longer I loved it so much.

I forced a man called Brian to give me this

WE DID IT!

August 13th 2015 - A day filled with emotion.

As some of you might know yesterday was A level results day, the day where many peoples dreams are finally beginning to come true and for others a new dream has been created. Straight off I want to congratulate you for getting this far. Look at how much you have done in the past 2 years, sixth form is hard and you did it!

If you have been reading for a while you might know that last year my AS results didn't go as I had originally planned and I ended up having to re-do geography AS, unfortunately due to this I had convinced myself that I wouldn't be able to go to University until 2016. However that is no longer the case!!!!
Your girl Jess Davis worked her ass off during her time in year 13 and I went and pulled it off didn't I. I will be attending Leeds Trinity University this September to do a Film and TV Production course. Guys I actually did it.

I just wanted to sit down and write about how I am feeling as I have a lot of emotions.
Here is a break down of my grades:

Media B
   Coursework 90 A
   Exam 69  C
History C
    AS Resit 74 B
    A2 Coursework 50 C
    A2 Exam 75 C
Geography D
    Unit 1 79 D
    Unit 2 16 U

Although they aren't the highest most incredible grades I am still proud. I really struggled with the stress of A levels so to come out with 3 passes and on my way to my firm university to do something I love makes me the happiest person ever right now.

I am excited to start in September due to it being something I have always looked forward to doing from a young age, however it's only myself and Joanne who are moving away so it's going to be so strange saying goodbye to everyone knowing they're staying.
It's officially 35 days until my move in day and my new life in Leeds begins.

I hope everyone is as happy after results day as I am, but if not its not the end of the world, make a new dream and go and live it.

Congratulations to those who got their places and going off to the rest of their academic career I wish you all the luck on the planet.

All The Fun Of The Fair

The sun was shining on a beautiful Saturday morning so the family decided to take a trip to South Shields, where the fair was booming and the beach was golden, the holiday feeling really kicked in and I now can't wait to go to Blackpool.

During the day we did various activities, from the rides, amusements to listening to a live band, Claire absloutly smashed the competition (us) at air hockey.
The whole day was filled with laughs, candy-floss and minions, and was the first day in a long time I have felt truly anxiety free and it felt good.

Like I said being in the fair made me so excited for Blackpool, the atmosphere was amazing, the loud music, rides, sweets, ice cream everything made me feel like I was on holiday and nothing in the world mattered apart from being with my family and of course the top quality food.

Plz no pics lol

Summer's Not Over

I don't know about you but summer is my least favourite season, the heat, the boredom, the endless amounts of insects and the wasp nest in my loft. It's just not what I'm about. I much prefer the cosiness of autumn and the candles of winter. That being said summer isn't over and we may as well "enjoy" the sun and freedom of the summer holidays before its all over.

I have to say the one thing I do love about summer is BBQ's they're super fun and the food is nothing short of amazing. I've had a couple of BBQ's this summer from family ones to just my friends with a cheap disposable BBQ hoping for the best.

One of the best things about UK BBQ's is you have no idea what the weather is going to be like, one minute you could be doing handstands in the garden, absloutly smashing the swing ball championship, then the next you're all frantically grabbing everything in sight as the clouds are clattering and there's a storm coming. It's a game within itself, guess the British weather.
